Christopher and Anne Ellinger

Christopher and Anne Ellinger (formerly Christopher Mogil and Anne Slepian) are nationally-recognized writers, counselors, workshop presenters, and organizers on issues of wealth and philanthropy.
The Ellingers were plunged into the philanthropy world when Christopher received an unexpected inheritance at age 21. After ten years of exploring the resources available for people looking to connect their money and values, they decided to put this knowledge to use by helping other wealthy people maximize their positive impact.
In 1991, they founded More than Money, a nonprofit peer education network with over 2,000 participants nationwide. Through its publications, gatherings, and web resources, More Than Money helped people with significant financial resources to explore the impact of money in their lives and to act on their highest values.
In 2007, they launched Bolder Giving in Extraordinary Times and have served as its first Directors. In addition to The Bolder Giving Workbook, their writing includes the award-winning book We Gave Away a Fortune, the guidebook Welcome to Philanthropy (written for the National Network of Grantmakers) and numerous articles in More Than Money Journal. Anne and Christopher have coached hundreds of individuals and led interactive sessions on wealth and philanthropy for dozens of organizations.
Anne and Christopher are also passionate about the power of arts to promote social change. They direct and perform with True Story Theater, an improvisational performance company that builds community by "playing back" the true life experiences told by members of the audience. In 2010 the launched Arts Rising, an initiative to strengthen Playback Theatre throughout North America. Anne and Christopher live outside of Boston and have a 19 year old son. |
